Short version: OffiDocument does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All document processing — merging, watermarking, compressing, and scanning — happens entirely on your iPhone. Your files never leave your device.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Documents, PDFs, or images of any kind
- Personal information (name, email address, location, device identifiers, etc.)
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Any data linked or linkable to your identity
2. On-Device Processing
All features of this app — PDF merging, image compositing, watermarking, compression, password protection, and document scanning — are performed entirely on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's built-in frameworks (PDFKit, Core Graphics, Vision). No document or image data is sent to any external server at any time.
3. Local Storage
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Merged document files, saved to the location you choose (app Documents folder, iCloud Drive, or Photo Library).
- A short list of recently saved file names and paths, stored in iOS UserDefaults.
- Your chosen display language preference, stored in iOS UserDefaults.
- Your export preferences (output format, watermark settings, etc.), stored in iOS UserDefaults.
None of this data ever leaves your device.
4. Camera & Photo Library Access
The app requests camera access only if you use the Document Scanner feature (available as a PRO upgrade). The app requests photo library access only when you choose to import photos for merging or save a long image to your Photo Library. These permissions are used solely at the moment you initiate the action. No images are stored by the app beyond the explicit save action you perform.
5. In-App Purchases
This app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features. Purchase transactions and receipt validation are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive, process, or store any payment or billing information.
6. Third-Party Services
This app does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. The only external service involved is Apple's App Store for the optional in-app purchase, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
7. Children
This app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a future version, the updated policy will be posted at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
